Application
- Sensitive determination of a glyoxal-DNA adduct biomarker candidate by column switching capillary liquid chromatography electrospray ionization mass spectrometry.: This study describes the use of LiChrospher® 100 DIOL (5 µm) in column switching capillary liquid chromatography to determine glyoxal-DNA adducts, which are potential biomarkers for DNA damage. The method combines high sensitivity with electrospray ionization mass spectrometry for precise analysis, highlighting its application in biomarker research and analytical chemistry (Olsen et al., 2008).
General description
HPLC guard column
LiChrospher® DIOL has polar and hydrophobic properties, thus can be used as less polar alternative to LiChrospher Si 60 in normal phase applications or as less hydrophobic alternative to LiChrospher RP-8 in reversed phase applications. LiChrospher DIOL is also suitable for exclusion chromatography. This sorbent is packed into LiChroCART 4-4 HPLC guard columns, to be used in connection with LiChroCART HPLC cartridges, packed with LiChrospher DIOL, 5µm. The connection is being accomplished by use of the manu-CART NT cartrige holder (1.51486)
