General description
Purospher® STAR RP-8 endcapped, 5 µm HPLC columns allow the separation of basic, neutral, and metal chelating compounds with simple mobile phases and excellent peak symmetry. They are based on ultra-pure fully porous silica particles (Type B). These columns offer an outstanding stability from pH 1.5 to 10.5 over a wide temperature range. Purospher® STAR RP-8 endcapped, 5 µm LiChroCART™ 125-3 is a cartridge column which requires a manuCART™ cartridge column holder part number 1.51486.0001. The manuCART™ can be used to hold one cartridge column with or without direct integration of a 4-4 mm guard column. The recommended guard column is Purospher® STAR RP-8 endcapped (5 µm) LiChroCART™ 4-4 part number 1.50270.0001. LiChroCART™ cartridge columns mounted with a manuCART™ cartridge column holder is hand-tight only and have therefore a maximum pressure stability of 250 bar.The column dimension of 125 mm length x 3 mm I.D. is the optimal choice for the HPLC separation of complex samples allowing significant solvent savings and improved sensitivity.
