Chocolate Contact Agar is a complex medium for cultivation and isolation of a wide range of bacteria, yeasts and molds. The media finds its application in environmental monitoring by determining the total microbial aerobic and anaerobic count on dry, sanitized surfaces and personnel in Isolators and Clean Rooms.

Chocolate Contact Agar + LTH – ICR+ is designed for the determination of the total microbial aerobic and anaerobic count on dry, sanitized surfaces and personnel in Clean rooms and Isolators. It is a universal blood containing culture medium for enrichment and isolation of particularly fastidious bacteria. This medium is characterized by a rich nutritive basis. Dextrose is the source of carbon and energy. In addition, haemin and NAD are released from the sheep blood erythrocytes during heating. Lecithin, Histidine and polysorbate 80 (Tween^®) are neutralizers to inactivate potential residues of disinfectants. In addition, ICRplus plates (plus or “+”) is supplied with a lockable lid for safe transport after sampling without the risk of losing the lid as well as for aerobic (closed position) and anaerobic or microaerophilic incubation in the “VENT” position.
