General description

Gangliosides are highly purified sialic acid-containing glycolipids that are useful as markers of various cell types and antigens. Note: the molecular weight is based on stearoyl-18:0.

Preparation Note

Following reconstitution, aliquot and freeze (-20°C). Stock solutions are stable for up to 3 months at -20°C.
Prepared from tissue of individuals that has been shown by certified tests to be negative for HBsAg and for antibodies to HIV and HCV.
