Biochem/physiol Actions

カゼインを胃腸内で部分消化すると、βカゾモルフィンなどの生物活性のあるペプチドが豊富に生成されます。ところが、ウシのカゼインは均一ではなく、A1およびB変異体はβカゾモルフィン7を生成しますが、A2変異体は生成しません。

Application

Casein can be used as:
  • An adhesive in the preparation of magnesium composite applicable as a fire retardant coating used in the wood industry.
  • A superplasticizer in the self-leveling underlayment (SLU) formulation.

General description

Casein is a collective term given for a family of phosphoproteins generally found in the milk of mammals. It has wide applications in the paints, medical, plastics, and food industries. It is used to form self-healing-protective coatings. Edible casein films are used in food packaging applications as a good barrier to oxygen to protect products from oxidation. The Casein-based adhesive is used as a bottle-labeling adhesive for beer and soda bottles.
