| I just purchased one of your stainless filter holders and after only a few uses it is starting to rust. Is the unit defective? | Rusting of stainless steel holders can usually be attributed to high iron content in the water. Iron deposits create rust "stains" that can be removed with non abrasive cleaners or sometimes fine steel wool. All stainless steel can rust over time. It should be washed with DI water and dried thoroughly immediately after each use. |

Applications
For filtration of gases or liquids at inlet pressures of 20 to 700 bar. Differential pressure depends on filter type used. All filter holders may be autoclaved. Filter holder XX44 047 00 is equipped with a back-pressure support screen. It may be autoclaved with filter in-place, if PTFE-coated support screens, XX44 047 02 and XX44 047 04, are used. Holder XX45 047 00 may be equipped with an upstream filter support screen, XX45 047 04, for back-pressure
protection of filter.
