A cell-permeable, specific inhibitor of protein phosphatase 2A (PP2A, IC50 = 90 nM). Exhibits only a weak effect on PP1 (IC50 = 5 µM). Causes dose- and time-dependent cytostasis at the G2/M phase in hepatocellular carcinoma cell lines.
