is an arthropod-borne virus (arbovirus) spread by the bite of infected Aedes
mosquitoes.  It is a member of the
Alphavirus genus of RNA viruses. 
Symptoms of fever and joint pain usually appear within a week of
infection.  Muscle pain, headache,
fatigue and rash may also occur.
