Description
OverviewAn 11-residue hydrophilic peptide that acts as a potent inhibitor of aspartyl proteases. Inhibits pepsin in a slow-tight binding, competitive manner (Ki = 55 pM). Also functions as a tight binding, noncompetitive inhibitor of HIV-1 protease at the active site of the flap region (Ki = 17.8 nM). Also exhibits anti-fungal activity in Aspergillus, Fusarium, and Trichoderma species.
