CD4 Antibodies

Millipore’s CD4 Antibodies demonstrate specificity against CD4, a 55 kDa glycoprotein. See below for related products for CD4, based on the expertise of Upstate & Chemicon.

CD4 is a 55 kDa glycoprotein with four immunoglobulin-like external domains, a transmembrane domain and a highly conserved intracellular domain. CD4 acts as a coreceptor in MHC class II-restricted antigen-induced T-cell activation. Further, CD4 has a role in the regulation of T-B lymphocyte adhesion in the absence of antigen recognition, and in thymic differentiation. Subpopulations of suppressor or cytotoxic T cells can be identified among CD4-positive T cells. CD4 is also expressed on monocytes/macrophages, Langerhans cells and other dendritic cells.
