ISOSLIDE® Control Slides 

Merck’s ISOSLIDE® control slides offer the most convenient way to ensure reliable staining procedures in your laboratory. The control slides consist of microscope slides with a paraffin-embedded section of suitable animal material, containing the typical structures of the test method to be used. The system is ideal for quality control since it allows you to compare control tissue with your own specimens. This helps you optimize and standardize the results of your staining process.

ISOSLIDE® control slides for frequent stains (e.g. PAS, Alcian blue) and special stains (e.g. Reticulin, Warthin-Starry, Methenamine).

Contents and Applications

ISOSLIDE® control slides are available for a variety of staining methods. Each box contains 25 slides: one control specimen, pre-stained with the respective method, as well as 24 unstained preparations. To ensure consistently reliable results, all the slides of one box are produced from the same block of animal tissue. Hence, each box only contains one batch.

Ready for Accreditation and Audits

The quality of the control specimens is documented by an analysis certificate, which is included with the ISOSLIDE® control slides. Furthermore, all ISOSLIDE® control slides are CE-certified IVD products, which are subject to comprehensive quality and process documentation. This means they are valid for laboratory accreditation and audits.
