Control
  • Jurkat cell lysate was probed with Anti-dimethyl-Arginine, asymmetric. Several proteins containing asymmetrically dimethylated arginines were detected, including p110, p75 and Sam68.

    Included Positive Antigen Control:
Catalog # 12-303, Jurkat lysate. Add 2.5 µL of 2-mercaptoethanol/100 µL of lysate and boil for 5 minutes to reduce the preparation. Load 20 µg of reduced lysate per lane for minigels.
PresentationRabbit antiserum diluted in storage buffer (PBS, 0.035% sodium azide and 30% glycerol). Store at -20°C.
Quality LevelMQ100
Applications
ApplicationDetect dimethyl-Arginine with Anti-dimethyl-Arginine Antibody, asymmetric (ASYM24) (Rabbit Polyclonal Antibody), that has been shown to work in WB.
Key Applications
  • Western Blotting
Biological Information
ImmunogenKLH-conjugated, synthetic peptide containing asymmetric dimethyl-arginine-glycine repeats (KGR*GR*GR*GR*GPPPPPR*GR*GR*GR*G in which R* denotes asymmetric dimethylation of arginine).
ConcentrationPlease refer to the Certificate of Analysis for the lot-specific concentration.
HostRabbit
SpecificityRecognizes proteins that contain arginines that are asymmetrically dimethylated including p300, p110, p75 and Sam68. Specificity for asymmetrically dimethylated arginine was determined by ELISA with an unmethylated ‘backbone’ peptide or an identical peptide containing symmetrically dimethylated arginines.

Product Usage Statements
Quality AssuranceRoutinely evaluated by Western Blot HeLa nuclear extract and p110, p75, and Sam68 in RIPA lysates from Jukat cells.

Western Blot Analysis:
A 1:500-1:1000 dilution of this lot detected p110, p75, and Sam68 in RIPA lysates from Jurkat cells.
Usage Statement
  • Unless otherwise stated in our catalog or other company documentation accompanying the product(s), our products are intended for research use only and are not to be used for any other purpose, which includes but is not limited to, unauthorized commercial uses, in vitro diagnostic uses, ex vivo or in vivo therapeutic uses or any type of consumption or application to humans or animals.
Storage and Shipping Information
Storage ConditionsStable for 1 year at -20°C from date of receipt.
Handling Recommendations: Upon receipt, and prior to removing the cap, centrifuge the vial and gently mix the solution. Aliquot into microcentrifuge tubes and store at -20°C.
Avoid repeated freeze/thaw cycles, which may damage IgG and affect product performance. Note: Variability in freezer temperatures below -20°C may cause glycerol containing solutions to become frozen during storage.
