OverviewRecombinant α1-3,6-galactosidase expressed in E. coli. Catalyzes the hydrolysis of α1,3-linked and α1,6-linked, non-reducing terminal galactose from complex carbohydrates and glycoproteins. Particularly efficient in removing α-linked galactose under conditions where the pH must be neutral or above, as with live cells.
