Application CommentsNormal sera are provided to be used as blocking agents in immunohistochemical procedures or as negative controls for undiluted serum/rabbit polyclonal antibodies from the Calbiochem® brand. For use as a negative control, perform experiments in parallel using primary antibody and normal serum at the same concentrations. A signal obtained with the normal serum indicates a nonspecific interaction; any additional signal with the primary antibody indicates a specific antibody-antigen interaction. This antibody has also been reported to work for ELISA, flow cytometry, immunoblotting, immunofluorescence, immunohistochemistry, and immunoprecipitation.
