Application CommentsTo reduce basal levels of Tyk2 phosphorylation, incubate cells in low-serum (0.5%) medium for 2 days. Change to fresh serum-free medium immediately before treatment. Does not recognize nonphosphorylated Tyk2. Variables associated with assay conditions will dictate the optimal working dilution.

DescriptionProtein A and immunoaffinity purified rabbit polyclonal antibody. Recognizes Tyk2 phosphorylated at Tyr1054/1055.
BackgroundTyk2, a member of the Janus Kinase (JAK) family of kinases, is associated with the IFN-α/β receptor. Upon ligand binding, Tyk2 is activated by phosphorylation on Tyr1054 and/or Tyr1055, initiating the IFN-α/β signaling cascade.
