Description
OverviewFull-length, recombinant, human PTEN (GenBank target symbol = PTEN, ACC No. BC_005821) fused at N-terminus to a His•Tag® and S•Tag sequences and expressed in S. frugiperda insect cells. PTEN is a tumor suppressor that is frequently found mutated in human cancers. It serves as a lipid phosphatase and negative regulator of the PI-3K/Akt pathway. Absence of functional PTEN results in constitutive activation of Akt and mTOR kinases.
