OverviewImmunomodulator peptide with immunoadjuvant and protective activity against bacterial and viral infections. Exhibits tumorigenic and somnogenic effects. Unlike muramyl peptides, contains GlcNAc attached to muramic acid of muramyl peptide via β1,4 glycosidic bond. Poorly permeable through intestinal wall. However, its bioavailability can be increased by using it in water-in-oil microemulsion.
