Overview

This product has been discontinued.

The Sambucus nigra lectin is a disulfide-linked tetramer consisting of two chains of approximately 36 kDa and two chains of approximately 38 kDa. The lectin preferentially binds sialic acid attached to terminal galactose in α2,6, and to a lesser extent, α2,3 linkage. This lectin has been reported to inhibit cell-free protein synthesis.
