Activates Ca2+-insensitive PKC isozymes δ, ε, and η. Binds to the general receptor for phosphoinositide-1 (GRP1) protein through a plekstrin homology (PH) domain. Also reported to increase the motility of NIH/3T3 cells and produce actin reorganization and membrane ruffling.
