Revision26-August-2008 RFH
DescriptionContains 6 ready-to-use chemical reagents that induce apoptosis through different mechanisms. Aphidicolin, is a specific inhibitor of DNA polymerase α and δ. Betulinic Acid is an antitumor and anti-HIV agent. Paclitaxel, Taxus brevifolia is an antitumor and antileukemic agent. Staurosporine, Streptomyces sp. is a potent, cell-permeable, and broad spectrum inhibitor of protein kinases that also induces apoptosis. Doxorubicin, Hydrochloride is an antitumor antibiotic and a highly effective myotoxin that inhibits topoisomerase II. Puromycin, Dihydrochloride is a nucleotide that resembles the aminoacyl-adenyl terminus of aminoacyl-tRNA and competes for binding to the large ribosomal subunit, which causes termination. A dilution of 1:1000 is recommended for inducing apoptosis in most cell types, but the optimal dose may vary for different cell types and culture conditions; please consult published literature to determine optimal dilution and incubation time for individual samples. Set contains 100 µl each of the following components:
