Paraffin Sections
Application NotesImmunoblotting (see comments)
Paraffin Sections (1:100, heat pre-treatment required)
Immunoprecipitation (see comments)
Application CommentsStaining of formalin-fixed, paraffin-embedded tissues requires antigen retrieval by boiling tissue sections in 10 mM citrate buffer, pH 6.0 for 10-20 min, followed by cooling at room temp for 20 min. This antibody is also reported to work for immunoblotting and immunoprecipitation. Antibody should be titrated for optimal results in individual systems.

Detection of Wilm's tumor by immunohistochemistry. Sample: Wilm's tumor. Primary antibody: Anti-Wilm's Tumor Protein Rabbit pAb (Cat. No. CA1026) (1:100). Detection: fluorescence.
DescriptionImmunoaffinity purified rabbit polyclonal antibody. Recognizes the ~47-55 kDa Wilm's tumor protein.
BackgroundWilm's tumor is associated with mutations of WT1, a zinc-finger transcription factor that is essential for the development of the metanephric kidney and the urogenital system. The WT1 gene is normally expressed in fetal kidney and mesothelium, and its expression has been suggested as a marker for Wilm's tumor and mesothelioma.
