Applications
Key Applications Immunoblotting (Western Blotting)
Immunoprecipitation
Application NotesImmunoblotting (1:300, colorimetric)
Immunoprecipitation (3 µg/200 µg lysate)
Application CommentsDoes not cross-react with other NMDAR subunits. For immunoblotting, dilute in TBST containing 5% nonfat milk and 0.05% sodium azide. Antibody may be used up to 5 times in immunoblotting experiments without significant loss in signal strength. Store diluted antibody at 4°C between uses. Variables associated with assay conditions will dictate the proper working dilution.

ApplicationImmunoblotting (1:300, colorimetric)
Immunoprecipitation (3 µg/200 µg lysate)
DescriptionMouse monoclonal antibody lyophilized from cell culture supernatant. Recognizes the ~115 kDa subunit of the NMDAR (N-methyl-D-aspartate receptor) protein.
BackgroundThe rat NMDAR1 (NR1) was the first subunit of the NMDAR to be cloned. NR1 can form NMDA-activated channels when expressed in oocytes, but the currents are larger when combined with one or more of the NMDAR2 (NR2 A-D) subunits.
