Alternate Names
  • Chromodomain-helicase-DNA-binding protein 4
  • CHD-4
  • ATP-dependent helicase CHD4
  • Mi-2 autoantigen 218 kDa protein
  • Mi2-beta
  • Mi-2b
Background InformationChromodomain-helicase-DNA-binding protein 4 (CHD-4), often referred to as Mi-2β, is a central component of the nucleosome remodeling and histone deacetylase (NuRD) repressor complex. Mi-2β has been shown to interact with TRIM27, HDAC1, Histone deacetylase 2, MTA2, SATB1 and Ataxia telangiectasia and Rad3 related. This protein also interacts with KLF1. Sumoylation of KLF1 leads to transcriptional repression of Mi-2β.
