DescriptionAnti-CEA cell adhesion molecule 16 (Ceacam16) Antibody
Alternate Names
  • Carcinoembryonic antigen-related cell adhesion molecule 16
Background InformationCarcinoembryonic antigen-related cell adhesion molecule 16, also known as CEA cell adhesion molecule 16 (Ceacam16), is a novel adhesion protein that has been found in cochlear hair cells. It interacts with α-tectorin-interacting protein and may play a role in maintaining the tectorial membrane. Mutation of the Ceacam16 gene results in autosomal dominant nonsyndromic deafness (ADNSHL).
