Recombinant, mouse amphiregulin (AR) consisting of amino acids 94-191 and expressed in E. coli. Mouse AR shares 81% homology at the amino acid sequence level with rat AR. Amphiregulin, a growth inhibitor for certain tumor cells, also stimulates the proliferation of mammary epithelial cells, astrocytes, keratinocytes, glial cells, and fibroblasts.
