      OverviewRecombinant, mouse α-interferon expressed in E. coli. Antiviral and anti-neoplastic agent. Suppresses bone marrow function and induces apoptotic cell death in non-melanoma skin cancer. IFN-α signaling is mediated by JAK1 and TYK2 tyrosine kinases. Note: 1 KU = 1000 units.
