Description
OverviewRecombinant rat interferon-γ (IFN-γ) expressed in E. coli as a single, non-glycosylated polypeptide containing 135 amino acids. Purified by chromatographic methods. IFN-γ is a type II cytokine produced by activated T cells and natural killer cells. It plays a significant role immunoregulation and has been implicated in the induction of the expression of class II histocompatibility molecules in cells that do not normally express them, resulting in autoimmune disease.
