          Description
OverviewAn immunosuppressive agent that inhibits de novo purine nucleotide synthesis via inhibition of inosine monophosphate dehydrogenase and prevents the formation of XMP and GMP. Useful for selection of animal cells that express the E. coli gene coding for xanthine-guanine phosphoribosyltransferase. Also suppresses cytokine-induced nitric oxide production in mouse and rat vascular endothelial cells.
