      OverviewCauses massive release of exocytotic neurotransmitter synaptic vesicles from a wide variety of central and peripheral synaptic junctions of vertebrates via Ca2+-dependent and -independent parallel mechanisms at concentrations as low as 100 pM. Stimulates Ca2+-independent GABA and glutamate release from cortical astrocytes in culture.
