      A potent, noncompetitive allosteric antagonist for CCR5 (IC50 = 0.91 nM). An effective entry inhibitor of HIV-1. Inhibits the initial stages of the virus life cycle. Efects can be resisted by mutation in the gp120 V3 region of HIV-1 both in vitro and in vivo.
