DescriptionProtein G binds the constant region of many species of immunoglobulin G. Protein G can be used to detect, quantify and purifiy IgG antibodies and antibody/antigen complexes. The albumin binding domain as well as cell wall and cell membrane binding domains have been removed to ensure maximum specific IgG binding. Protein G binds to all IgG subclasses from human, mouse and rat species. Endotoxins: ≤0.1 EU/mg of protein. 1 mg Protein G, Recombinant, E. coli binds 5 mg human IgG at pH 5-6.
