Description
OverviewAn antibiotic that inhibits phospholipid-sensitive Ca2+-dependent protein kinases. Mixture of polymyxin B1 sulfate and polymyxin B2 sulfate. Binds to cell wall and makes it more permeable, causing fluid uptake. Effective against Gram-negative bacteria.
