A unique antibiotic of the bleomycin family that is toxic to eukaryotic and prokaryotic cells. BLEOCIN™ Antibiotic cleaves double-stranded DNA and inhibits DNA synthesis, resulting in cell death. Can be used for selection of recombinant clones in a variety of cell types transfected with vectors containing a ble resistance marker. Copper content: ≥3.5%. Potency: ≥750 µg/mg.
