A gold(I) compound that inhibits the activity of IKK (ID50 = 10.9 µM) and disrupts PB1 (Phox and Bem1p) domain-mediated interactions between Par6 and PKCι (IC50 = ~ 1 µM) by modifying cysteine residues within the catalytic domain of IKK and the PB1 domain of PKCι. Inhibits PKCι-dependent Rac1 activation in A549 cells.
