Applications
Key Applications Flow Cytometry
Frozen Sections
Immunoprecipitation
Application NotesFlow Cytometry (5 µg/ml)
Frozen Sections (see comments)
Immunoprecipitation (see comments)
Application CommentsFACS was performed on 5x105 ficoll prepared human peripheral white blood cells and analyzed by flow cytometry. Optimal binding concentration tested was 5 µg/ml when used with secondary reagent goat anti-mouse IgG, FITC conjugated. This antibody has also been reported to work for frozen sections and immunoprecipitation. Variables associated with assay conditions will dictate the proper working dilution.

DescriptionPurified mouse monoclonal antibody. Recognizes the ~33 kDa CD8 α-chain protein.
BackgroundHuman CD8 is a heterodimeric protein consisting of an α and β chain, each about 33 kDa. CD8 is expressed on most thymocytes and on about one third of peripheral blood T cells. CD8 is a co-receptor involved in antigen recognition and binds to the α2 and α3 domain of MHC Class molecules.
