Please refer to our complete listing of nitric oxide synthase inhibitors for possible alternatives.

A novel, cell-permeable, anti-inflammatory agent that inhibits the expression of inducible nitric oxide synthase (iNOS; IC50 = ~ 5 µM). Acts by blocking the activation of NF-κB in vitro and in vivo. Does not directly affect the enzymatic activities of iNOS or eNOS.

Synonyms2-Benzoylamino-1,4-naphthoquinone
DescriptionA cell-permeable naphthoquinone derivative that inhibits the expression of iNOS (IC50 ~5 µM) by blocking the activation of NF-κB in vitro and in vivo. Does not directly affect the enzymatic activities of iNOS or eNOS. Also prevents the dissociation of NF-κB/IκB-α complex and acts as a potent anti-inflammatory and anti-sepsis agent.
