Description
OverviewNative endothelial cell growth supplement from bovine neural tissue. A cell culture-medium supplement screened for contamination by bacteria, fungi, and mycoplasma. Mitogenic activity thought to be physically, chemically, and biologically distinct from that of FGF. Acts as a superior cloning factor for the isolation and growth of hybridoma cells and may eliminate the need for feeder cell layers.

DescriptionNative endothelial cell growth supplement from bovine neural tissue. A cell-culture-medium supplement for the growth and maintenance of many cell types. Growth promoting activities have been described for human endothelial cells, bovine endothelial cells, and mouse Balb/c fibroblasts. Can also substitute for feeder cells in support of the clonal growth of hybridomas. Mitogenic activity of the preparation is thought to be physically, chemically, and biologically distinct from that of FGF. Media containing 50-150 μg/ml is recommended for culturing vascular endothelial cells. Acts as a superior cloning factor for the isolation and growth of hybridoma cells and may eliminate the need for feeder cell layers. Screened for contamination by bacteria, fungi, and mycoplasma.
