Description
OverviewA cell-permeable, non-toxic, non-fluorescent naphthalenyl-dimethoxybenzaldehyde enone compound that acts as a highly specific, sensitive, fast-responsive H2S fluoroprobe (signal saturation at ≤ 5 min with a detection limit of 50 nM). Dose-dependently detects hydrogen sulfide levels under physiological conditions and readily fluoresces. Displays little to no reactivity towards GSH, Cys, H2O2, citrate and iodide (Hepes pH 7.4, containing 10% FBS). Also shown to be useful as a two-photon probe for imaging endogeneous H2S levels in HeLa cells. A thiol specific fluorescent probe is also available (Cat. No. 595504).

Please note that the molecular weight for this compound is batch-specific due to variable water content. Please refer to the vial label or the certificate of analysis for the batch-specific molecular weight. The molecular weight provided represents the baseline molecular weight without water.
