Description
OverviewA 21-amino acid polypeptide with potent vasoconstrictive action. Produces convulsions, arterial hypertension, and metabolic activation of periventricular white and gray matter. Its effects are mediated via L-type Ca2+ channels. Reported to activate phospholipase C in fibroblasts expressing ETA receptors.
