      Description
OverviewRecombinant, human β2-microglobulin fused at the N-terminus to a His•Tag® sequence and expressed in E. coli. Subsequently cleaved with CNBr to remove the His•Tag® sequence. Extracellular protein that is non-covalently associated with the α-chains of class I MHC molecules. Used as a marker for various tumors and for kidney disease. The purified protein functions similarly to the native protein in in vitro models of amyloid fibril extension.
