IgG/IgM detection is possible using a slide agglutination test for the direct qualitative detection of antibodies in biological fluids (blood, serum, urine etc.).

Estapor® microspheres coated with one or several antigen(s) are agglutinated when mixed with samples containing the corresponding antibody.

HIV test is a good example for serological application Estapor® microspheres (white, dyed, fluorescent).

Antibodies against HIV1 or HIV2 can be detected in a patient’s serum sample by agglutination if the appropriate antigen is attached to the bead as shown in the illustration above.

Our Estapor® microspheres are used worldwide as the inert support in many antibodies in Latex Agglutination Test (LAT):
