A novel, cell-permeable, anti-inflammatory agent that inhibits the expression of inducible nitric oxide synthase (iNOS; IC50 = ~ 5 µM). Acts by blocking the activation of NF-κB in vitro and in vivo. Does not directly affect the enzymatic activities of iNOS or eNOS.
