Cell-permeable ester derivative of INDO 1. After crossing the cell membrane, INDO 1/AM is rapidly hydrolyzed by cytoplasmic esterases and remains trapped within the cell. Can be used to selectively monitor Ca2+ levels in mitochondria and in the cytosol. It is insensitive to Mg2+. Note: 1 set = 10 x 100 µg.

DescriptionCell-permeable ester derivative of INDO 1 (Cat. No. 402095). After crossing the cell membrane, INDO 1/AM is rapidly hydrolyzed by cytoplasmic esterases and remains trapped within the cell. Spectral properties in the presence of low calcium concentrations (ex. 349 nm, em. 485 nm) differ from those during high calcium conditions (ex. 330 nm, em. 398 nm). Note: 1 set = 10 x 100 µg.
