      Revision07-April-2008 RFH
      Synonyms4ʹ-Amino-6-hydroxyflavone
DescriptionInhibits protein-tyrosine kinase activity of p56lck (IC50 = 1.2 µM). p56lck is a 56 kDa enzyme that exhibits considerable sequence homology to pp60src and other members of the src family of tyrosine kinases. The expression of p56lck is normally restricted to lymphoid cells, primarily those of the T cell lineage. p56lck is thought to play a role in mediating signal transduction via the CD4 receptor during lymphocyte activation. The presence of a 4'-amino and a 6-hydroxyl group on 4'-amino-6-hydroxyflavone promotes high affinity interactions with p56lck, decreasing p56lck interactions with protein-serine/threonine kinases.
