      An anilino-monoindolylmaleimide compound that acts as a potent, cell-permeable, reversible, and ATP-competitive inhibitor of PKCβ isozymes (IC50 = 5 nM and 21 nM for human PKCβII and βI) and displays greater selectivity over PKCα, γ,& ε (IC50 = 331 nM, > 1 µM, and 2.8 µM, respectively).
