      This product has been discontinued.



      A cell-permeable pyrimidine-trione compound that sensitizes apoptosis-resistant, Bcl-2-overexpressing leukemic cells to cytotoxic drugs. Shown to bind to Bcl-2, disrupt its interaction with Bax, and activate caspase-9. Also induces PTP (permeability transition pore) opening in both isolated mitochondria and intact cells, without any effect on respiration.
