Amyloid precursor-like protein 1 (APLP1) is a member of a family of related polypeptides that includes amyloid precursor proteins (APP) and amyloid precursor-like protein 2 (APLP2). APP generates β-amyloid peptide, deposits of which form the amyloid plaques that characterize Alzheimer's disease.
