PyroMAT™: the new in vitro solution for pyrogen detection

Pyrogen contamination in pharmaceutical products, biotherapeutics and medical devices can induce life-threatening fever. Pyrogen detection is therefore of major importance with regard to patient safety. The detection of pyrogens in parenteral products can now be performed without using animal-based tests.

With the latest European regulations in place, you can now switch to the new Monocyte-Activation Test (MAT). Currently the best alternative to animal-based testing methods enabling the detection of the full range of pyrogens to ensure patient safety. The MAT is an in vitro test that mimics the human reaction to pyrogens.
