Buffer quality is vital for the success of biopharmaceutical processes because they are indispensable in nearly every production step. We offer you a wide range of buffer materials to cover all commonly used buffering systems, such as phosphates, acetates or organic buffers like TRIS, HEPES, MES and our new Imidazole.
In upstream processes, buffers optimize pH and other process parameters in order to obtain the desired product characteristics. In downstream, they help maintaining defined purification conditions to stabilize your valuable proteins while protecting them from unwanted contamination.
In order to ensure reproducible processes, Merck uses only high-purity raw material of defined specifications. Our manufacturing processes have been designed to minimize microbiological contamination and endotoxin concentrations. In addition, most buffers are specified to non-detectable enzymatic activities of DNases, RNases, or proteases. This is what makes these buffers particularly suitable for biochromatography. Qualification kits with samples from three batches are available on request.
Most of our buffer products bear the EMPROVE® bio trademark. EMPROVE® products are conceived to make your work even faster and more cost-efficient: they come with comprehensive regulatory documentation that contributes considerably to the quality part of your registration dossier.
