      Description
OverviewAn exocyclic peptidomimetic that acts as a TNF-α antagonist (IC50 = 5 µM) in the binding assay. Blocks TNF-α-mediated apoptosis in mouse L929 cells. The designation WP9QY arises from the binding to the site observed in the TNF-β/TNF-receptor (I) complex as template, and the introduction of amino acids Glu and Tyr.

DescriptionAn exocyclic peptidomimetic that acts as a TNF-α antagonist (IC50 = 5 µM) in binding assay. Blocks TNF-α-mediated apoptosis in mouse L929 cells. Exhibits about twofold higher activity than other known WP5 binding site derived mimetics. Designation WP9QY arises from the binding to the WP9 binding site of the TNF-β/TNF-receptor(I) complex as template, and the introduction of amino acids, Gln and Tyr.
